Jorth Consult Limitedis a UK based consulting company specialising in tourism development and natural resource management. We carry out projects worldwide for a variety of clients and specialise in undertaking tourism and community development studies and implementing projects in areas of high natural and cultural value. The philosophyof Jorth Consult is to focus on developing sustainable outputs of benefit to local people through participation planning and by developing practical “real world” solutions by encouraging the development of symbiotic relationships between people with their natural resources. Our objectiveis to find ways to yield more sustainable livelihood opportunities through eco-tourism and other responsible tourism activities by maximising the social and economic benefits that arise out of the sustainable use, conversion or protection of the natural and cultural resource base. We apply a people centred approach and encourage the integration of biodiversity and cultural heritage into tourism sector practice and policy as a means of supporting the development of rural livelihoods. Commissionsare undertaken directly for both public and private clients. The company can provide specialist inputs for other commercial companies when required and we often work with other international consulting companies to create and manage broad-based multi-disciplinary consulting teams and projects. Technical and management expertise can be provided at all stages of the project cycle including project feasibility studies, planning, implementation and evaluation. |
