Natural Resource Management

2004 Bosnia i Herzegovina: Providing specialist protected area expertise for preparation of the GEF mountain and forest programme for Bosnia.

2004 Ghana: Management plan for the protection of crocodiles and preparation of land use and tourism development guidelines for Paga.

2004 Albania: National Park and protected area planning for Dajti National Park. Development of national participatory framework for implementing N.P. plans in Albania.

2003 Ghana: Preparation of a land use appraisal and action plans for sustainable management of community owned monkey sanctuary and wildlife reserve and the preparation of environmental guidelines and plans for developments within adjacent local communities.

2002 - 2003 Croatia: Land use evaluation of the privatisation of agricultural land from state farms to private ownership. Preparation of land use planning guidance for agricultural land in Croatia and assisting municipalities to prepare plans.

2003 Romania: EIA study for the Interim evaluation of the European Union SAPARD rural development programme.

1999 - 2001 Ukraine and Romania: Land use management plan for the Carpathian Mountain region of Chernivtsi Oblast, developed to integrate forestry, agriculture and water resources and provide the basis for rural livelihood improvement. The plan was developed through a local participation planning process.

2000 Latvia: Establishment of project co-ordination centre for rural development programme and preparation of guidelines for the sustainable development of economic activities.

2000 UK: Preparation of planning guidance for environmental protection and integration of new industrial and housing development. Design and implementation of peri-urban forest planting, community woodlands and arboriculture in the National Forest area.
