2004 Ghana: Development of land use and tourism development plans for tourist areas at Kintampo and Fuller Waterfalls. Preparation of design guide for hotel and festival / exhibition centre.

2004 Kuwait: Providing specialist environmental expertise for the Kuwait Tourism Master Plan, including EIAs, measures to improve hotel “greening” and proposals for eco-tourism development in desert parks, marine parks and protected wetland bird sites.

2003 Republic of China - Taiwan
Appraisal of opportunities for tourism development based on cultural and nature tourism activities.

2003 Ghana: Ghana ‘Slave Route’ - Tourism development plan for Assin Manso. Development of culturally sensitive and key sites related to the former slave trade. Identification of opportunities for tourism development based on Ghana culture and chieftaincy. Master plan for refurbishment of the Assin Manso Chief’s Palace with associated hotel and interpretation facilities.

2003 Ghana: Eco-tourism product development and recreation land use planning for Kakum National Park and Conservation Area. Planning, landscape design and development of new community operated eco-camp and services and recommendations for the improvement of existing facilities. GIS mapping new walking trails, access links and visitor circulation within and adjacent to the Kakum N.P.

2003 Bulgaria: Preparation of the national eco-tourism project grant funding scheme and working guidelines.

2002 Tanzania / Zanzibar: Preparation of the Tourism Development Master Plan for the culturally and ecologically diverse islands of Unguja and Pemba and the outer islets (Zanzibar). Guidelines for the promotion of marine and terrestrial eco-tourism development.

2002 - 2003 Ukraine: Encouragement of eco-tourism and associated rural development in the Carpathian Verkhovyna through rural community participatory planning techniques and working with the local and regional and national park administrations.

2002 Romania: Preparation of project proposal for the establishment of a Geo-park in Transylvania based on UNESCO guidelines and developing opportunities for new SMEs and improving rural livelihoods by using the protected area as a catalyst.

2001 Bosnia i Herzegovina: National Park Feasibility Study. Preparation of draft National Park legislation, funding plan, recreational development plan, N.P boundary and zoning plan. Social and economic impact study. Analysis of infrastructure (war damage) of skiing and hotel facilities (1984 Olympic Games) and proposed re-development within carrying capacities

2000 Mauritius: Tourism development master plan Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and preparation of a land use analysis framework for island tourist developments. Recreation and tourism management proposals for environmentally sensitive areas and protected tropical habitats.

2000 Rodrigues: Environmental and physical carrying capacity study. Preparation of preliminary land use master plan integrating tourism, tropical agriculture and forestry activities to minimise impacts on fragile natural and social environment. Preparation of guidelines for the protection of indigenous forest (critical habitat) and coastal zone from development and the sustainable integration of tourist and recreation activities.

1999 - 2001 Ukraine and Romania: Preparation of eco-tourism master plan using participatory planning and developing cross border eco-tourism opportunities with local communities in the Bukovyna Region. Planning and implementing the construction of recreational infrastructure and preparing a sustainable hunting plan.

1998 Hungary: Identifying and managing landscape change in areas of high landscape value thereby maintaining the selected regions attractiveness for the tourists.

1996 - 1997 Slovenia: National Park and Land Use Planning Study to provide a basis for the development of a comprehensive local and regional planning policy framework for its protection. This will support the management of areas of cultural significance and bio-diversity by developing sustainable land use practices and tourism.

1995 Latvia: Environmental Assessment and Landscape Character Assessment. Preparation of land use planning policies to support rural livelihood development in an area of high natural and cultural value.

1994 Hungary: Eco-tourism and rural tourism development planning, natural resource and landscape protection plans for the Balaton Region.
